Application Packet Requirements & Forms:

The Conflict Resolution department has put together a complete application packet that you can receive either through the mail or by downloading the forms from this site. The complete packet includes the following:

• Application Instructions
• Student Handbook
• The Conflict Resolution department's admission form.
• Portland State University's blue Graduate Admission Form.
• Three letters of recommendation. These letters should be written by individuals closely acquainted with the applicant's academic career

  NOTE: If you download the complete packet, notice that the graduate admission form is a double sided form.

In addition to completing these forms, students must also submit the following:

• A letter to the director explaining the applicant's reasons for pursuing an advanced degree in conflict resolution. Include professional background and competencies, if applicable.
• An academic writing sample of at least ten pages in length, double spaced.

All students are admitted to the Conflict Resolution graduate program on conditional status. Regular status and retention in the graduate program requires the satisfactory completion of 12 graduate credits with a minimum grade of 3.00 in each course and evidence of satisfactory progress toward the degree.
